Watch us grow!
Your donations help us grow! Making substantial improvements to our infrastructure requires significant support from our community and visitors. We are so proud of the changes we were able to make over the years thanks to donors, corporate sponsors, visitors and foundation grants. Take a look at some of the most recent capital projects that Wildlife Safari was able to accomplish and the exciting projects we have planned for the future!
New Gibbon HouseÂ
Our future white cheeked gibbon house will incorporate a larger indoor holding space with updated safety features for both keepers and gibbons. It will also provide more natural, sturdy climbing structures that will encourage daily exercise.
The Barnyard
One of the more popular exhibit areas in the walk through Village is the Children’s Zoo (petting zoo). It currently houses rabbits, goats, sheep, a mini horse, a donkey and a pig. The goal is to extend this area to include a contact yard where guests can meet some of our goats and learn about animals you would find on the farm. A farmhouse style kitchen will be included to showcase how our staff prepares diets for the animals. This upgraded kitchen will increase freezer and cooler space allowing us to add more animals to our collection! Educational signage and additional activities will be added for children to connect with animals and this area will remain FREE to the public!
Completed Projects
2020 – Lion LookoutÂ
This addition to the lion area, accessible in the drive through, boasts more space for our pride to grow, as well as additional opportunities for viewing these majestic cats as they bask in the sun atop their new rock feature.
2019 – Holding BarnÂ
This off-exhibit facility is a transitional barn for injured animals, new moms needing extra time with their young, and larger sick animals requiring medical attention from our vet staff.
2018 – Cheryl Ford Center
A beautiful space for indoor camps and educational classes, party rentals, and corporate retreats, this facility connects Wildlife Safari with the community in a variety of ways.
