While most of the encounters below are offered daily, booking ahead due to encounters filling up is always recommended. Feel free to call ahead to book or for more details at 541.679.6761.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your encounter. The times shown are the check in time, you will depart 15 minutes later for the encounter.

*Must cancel at least 48 hours prior to your encounter day to get a full refund.

Because Wildlife Safari Enrichment Encounters include bused or open-air adventures through the park’s drive thru, regular drive thru admission is required when registering for any Enrichment Encounter activity.

Accessibility

The majority of our encounters are wheelchair accessible or can be altered to be more accessible for guests. The current exceptions are the Big Bear, along with the lion, tiger, and bear feeds, due to location and the nature of the encounter. Learn more here.

Lion & Painted Dogs

Giraffe
Feed

Ride into the heart of Wildlife Safari for an up-close giraffe feeding experience. Learn about these gentle giants as you offer them treats. In winter, you may also visit their heated barn, which has an ADA-accessible entrance.

Elephant

Ride to Wildlife Safari’s elephant barn for an up-close encounter with one of our elephants. Learn about elephant care and behavior, and enjoy plenty of opportunities to take photos along the way.

Lion Feed

Visit Wildlife Safari’s lion night quarters for an up-close feeding experience. Join our keepers as they serve dinner to the pride, and learn about lion behavior, diets, and care while hearing their powerful calls.

Gator Feed

Visit the Gator House in Wildlife Safari’s free walk-through Safari Village. Learn about our alligators from their keepers, then head inside for an up-close look and a chance

Bear 101

 Ride an open-air safari truck into Wildlife Safari’s Bear Island for an up-close bear encounter. Meet our bears, learn what makes each one unique, and help keepers toss treats that encourage natural
foraging behaviors.

Hibernation

This “whispers only” encounter is a keeper-guided chance to go into the bear den and see them during their winter torpor.Keepers will explain what
happens during the bear’s hibernation and
share other fascinating details about their lives.

Rhino

Visit Wildlife Safari’s rhino boma for an up-close look at a rhino. Watch breakfast and a keeper training session while learning about these remarkable animals.
You may even get to feel their tough skin!
