Your donations help us grow! Making substantial improvements to our infrastructure requires significant support from our community and visitors. We are so proud of the changes we were able to make over the years thanks to donors, corporate sponsors, visitors and foundation grants. Building In Progress
New Lemur House
We are excited to share that construction is underway on a brand-new home for our Ring-Tailed and Red Ruffed Lemurs! This upgraded space will feature multiple rooms, giving our lemurs more room to explore and making it easier to introduce new members to the leap. The expanded layout will also provide dedicated areas for medical care and extra space for when babies arrive. In addition, the new building will be stronger, easier to maintain, and designed with both the animals and staff in mind. To top it off, we’re adding a large viewing window so guests can enjoy watching the lemurs even when they aren’t out on their island!
New Cheetah Spot Fencing
We are currently updating the fencing at the Cheetah Spot inside the Safari Village. The existing fencing has served us well for many years, but it’s time for an upgrade to ensure the highest standards of safety and care. The new fencing will provide a stronger, more durable barrier while still allowing guests a clear and engaging view of our cheetahs. This project helps us to continue creating a safe, welcoming space for both our animals and visitors.

Completed Projects
2025 – Canine Country
The newest addition to our Drive Thru is the new African Painted Dogs, now home to one of the park’s most exciting new species. Located beside the lion enclosures, the new space includes indoor and outdoor access. Giving the dogs plenty of room to roam, play, and explore while offering guests incredible viewing opportunities. Their arrival marks an important milestone in our mission of conservation and education.
2025 – House of Reptiles
Our resident Sulcata Tortoise, Shel, now has a brand-new home and outdoor habitat designed to mimic his natural environment. The space features temperature-regulating lights, a soaking pond, and outdoor areas for burrowing and sunbathing. This immersive exhibit invites visitors to meet this incredible tortoise up close, along with other reptile friends.
2024 – The Barnyard
Our new Barnyard extend the existing petting zoo area to include a contact yard where guests can meet some of our goats and learn about animals you would find on the farm. This also included an upgraded kitchen that increased freezer and cooler space allowing us to add more animals to our collection! This area will remain FREE to the public!
2024 – Rhino Boma
This renovation created a larger space for mother rhinos and their precious calves. This expansion allows us to bring in a new female rhino and ensures that the bond between mother and baby remains unbreakable until the little one is ready to explore the world beyond and join the thrilling rhino drive thru experience.
2023 – Gibbon House
Our new white cheeked gibbon house includes a larger indoor holding space with updated safety features for both keepers and gibbons. It also provides more natural, sturdy climbing structures that will encourage daily exercise.
2022 – Long Neck Lodge
The Long Neck Lodge expanded the ways people can interact with our giraffes and the number of giraffes we can house at the park. Guests are able to feed the giraffes from a viewing deck built on the outside of the barn and from a wheelchair accessible lower patio area designed to give the same feeding options from the ground level.
2020 – Lion Lookout
This addition to the lion area, accessible in the drive through, boasts more space for our pride to grow, as well as additional opportunities for viewing these majestic cats as they bask in the sun atop their new rock feature.
2019 – Holding Barn
This off-exhibit facility is a transitional barn for injured animals, new moms needing extra time with their young, and larger sick animals requiring medical attention from our vet staff.
2018 – Cheryl Ford Center
A beautiful space for indoor camps and educational classes, party rentals, and corporate retreats, this facility connects Wildlife Safari with the community in a variety of ways.
