Tortoise House

We are currently raising funds to create a new house and outdoor habitat for our resident Sulcata Tortoise, Shel, and paving the way for welcoming more Sulcata tortoises to Safari! The new exhibit will be more than a home for our tortoises, it will be an immersive experience where visitors can step into the habitat and interact with these magnificent creatures firsthand. A new habitat for Shel and his future pals will better replicate a tortoises natural environment and allow us to educate the public about responsible reptile ownership. The new tortoise house will include special lights and lamps to help with temperature regulation, a soaking pond, and an outdoor space for burrowing and sun bathing.
